on the morning of october 13, philippe adam secretary general of the international council on large electric systems (cigre) visited the department of electrical engineering and applied electronics (eea). the reception was attended by he jinliang, chairman of the department’s academic committee; zheng zedong, deputy dean of the department; and ma ningning, a faculty member of the department.
philippe and his team first visited the department’s history museum to gain a deeper understanding of the department's development since its establishment. they then toured the dynamic simulation laboratory to learn more about the department’s current key research areas. the two sides concluded the visit with an in-depth discussion on topics such as the development of cigre in china and future cooperation with tsinghua university.
the international council on large electric systems (cigre) was founded in 1921 in paris, france, and is a global committee dedicated to the cooperative development and sharing of end-to-end electrical power system expertise. the organization has thousands of members from over 90 countries and 1,250 member organizations. china joined cigre in 1986 and established the national committee of china.
